Anni Silk Tie Shirt
This shirt is bundled dyed with alkanet--otherwise known as purple gromwell root--and made from 10 mm silk habotai. It is a very lightweight, semi-sheer, flowy, and luxurious fabric that will immediately make you feel wonderful. It can be paired with jeans and a white top for a more casual look, or thrown over a neutral dress for a fancy night out.
Please allow for small variations in color and pattern because the beauty of natural dyes is in their inconsistency.

About the Materials:
This plant is native to east Asia and the eastern Mediterranean region. I first discovered the beautiful color when I bought the herb in a pharmacy in Qiaozi, China where it is sold as medicine to treat a variety of different ailments. It is anti-bacterial and is used topically to treat burns and wounds. It can also be boiled in a tea to flush out toxins from the body. I use it by sprinkling it over the finished garment and then tightly wrap the cloth up with the plant inside. I then boil it for 1-2 hrs. This effectively prints the plant on the fabric.
